Party in the USA .... or at least Amarillo!

Wanted to let everyone know about a fabulous bunch of my lady friends who are putting on a shopping event in the home of Syndi Hart! I had a booth in her home last year and it is a GREAT event!!! That is where I first found out about Tastefully Simple - ymmmm!!!! I hope to see you there and great ready to get some Christmas shopping done early!!!

Christmas Roundup and more....

OK, I'm heading out to the civic center to put the finishing touches on my booth for Christmas Roundup! It starts tonight at 6:30pm for a 'VIP Guest Shopping' event and then we'll be open from 10-6 Friday and Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday. Come out and check out our booth! We have two HOT specials going!

1 - We are doing a drawing for a gift certificate for $200 in portrait credit! All you have to do is stop by our booth and enter your name and email address and you're entered! We'll do the drawing Monday morning and post the winner on our blog. ;-)

2 - We are selling the 'ULTIMATE GIFT'!! You can purchase a framed 16x20 portrait and one session fee to be photographed in Jan/Feb/March 2010 and you'll receive 1/2 OFF the wall portrait and NO session fee!!! OK, people - this IS a steal!!! You'll receive a CUTE chocolate box with gift card enclosed to put under the tree for that someone special and you don't have to STRESS about getting your portraits done before the holidays!!!

3 - We will also be booking sessions for children or family portraits - fabulous Christmas gifts!!

Last, but not least, I want to let everyone know that the email functionality on my 'Contact Us' link on my website is down. What a gift!

Goodness!! I can NOT Not NOT believe its Nov. 1st - wow - I'm gonna be 80 yrs old before I know it! Wheeeeeeew! So here are some more images from shoots.... from, um, well, not shot in the last week or so! ;-) Sometimes life throws you curves and you gotta jam with it! These beautiful angels are the Wilson girls! Pure innocence! What gifts they truly are!!

H Gallery is thrilled to announce we have added some helpers to our group! We have a new in house graphic artist (Whooo Hoooo) and a sweet chica helping us do everything from interior design to sales (Double Yee Haa)! I am supa dupa THRILLED about this and am excited about our growth! We are truly blessed and everyday I'm so thankful I get to do something sooo fun and meet new happy faces! GOD is ummm, ummmm good!

These images define the panhandle in my mind - cOwboy cOOl!! These images were all shot at Black & Myers Cattle Co. on Hwy 385. The smell of cattle, loading shoots, hay, 4-door pickups and more good looking cowboys than a girl can handle! This is Texas, friends!

Trunk Show Thursday

I'm thrilled to announce our first ever TRUNK SHOW THURSDAY event! We are having the Matilda Jane fall clothing line at the studio (cute, cuTE, CUTE childrens' clothing) along with Double S Brand Jewelry (great stuff), Fresh Purses and Tastefully Simple (fun, easy-mix foods - I luv the dips!!). We will also have beverages and H Gallery specials! Spend $25 with any vendor and receive 1/2 off a H Gallery session (select dates apply)! Swing by next Thursday after work and shop a little!

JDRF Walk 2009

We setup the H Gallery 'Photo Booth' at this weekends JDRF 'Walk to Cure Diabetes' at Thompson Park. Here is a little sneak peak at all the fun that was had!

Time.

Time. Anybody have any extra? It seems I just can't keep up these days and I'm loosing my mind!! I actually tripled booked my Sunday afternoon and that is NOT an easy thing to do without realizing it! LOL!! But GOD has blessed me..... my mind jumps to my boys! I promised myself that I would photograph my boys every 2 months in 2009. Well, they just had their second session of the year today. OK, so we skipped Easter pics - who likes those anyway, right? (Trying to justify it in my mind...) I'll be posting pics soon so you can see my little rugrats in all their glory! But not until I get caught up!!


I had the honor of photographing some of our closest friends last week. Their oldest child had lost her two front teeth and her mom wanted to capture that precious time! I just love it that she wanted a close up shot of her and her sweet baby girl with two big ol' holes right in the front!!! LOVE IT!! Like I said, since I'm swamped and its ....oh, 1:00am, I'll only post one for now!

Can you hear it? Its my heart singing!

Every once in a while... (ok, A LOT for me) there is an image that just makes my heart sing! Like, so much so that I wish it was an image of my boys and I. Well, this one is it! I don't know if its because the boys are close in age to mine or the fact that there is turquoise AND a cowboy hat in the background (two of my favorite things!), but I just LOVE this image! It just says Texas Country if you know what I mean. Maybe I feel this way because I'm listening to Bleu Edminston (sp?) in the background...not sure. The family is coming in next week to take a peek so I hope they likeie (I made that word up)! Have a great weekend!

Our next event at H Gallery is called 'Belissima - Beautiful Portraits for Women'! It is a great way to update your facebook, myspace, business card or website image AND get your makeup done by 'THE LOFT'. They are a fairly new store located in Wolflin Village (right down from Jetty Bean and Etcetera). They have fabulous jewelry and purses, but do specialize in 'Bare Minerals' makeup. The girls in there are so fun and so we joined forces to deliver you 'Belissima'!

It will be a 25 minute photo session with a 15 minute hair/makeup touchup/application plus a little time to fill out papers, eat, drink and CHAT!! Print pricing will be discounted. Girls' Night Out 2009!!!!!!!!!

Let the shopping begin!!!!

I'm soooo excited about this years GNO event! It will be held here at the studio again in Canyon Business Park (NE side of I27 and Bell - across the eway from Pete's greenhouse). We will have live music (Mike Fuller - YES!), great food (Water Still tea and Schakolad chocolate - YUM) and portrait specials! Doors open at 5:30pm sharp and the first 50 women receive a goodie bag!

Once a year H Gallery sells our 'Double Dollars'. They are basically 50% off your portrait order - yes, 1/2 off!!! You can't beat it! You write a check for whatever amount you'd like and you'll receive DOUBLE that amount in the form of a gift certificate good for 8 months! This alone is worth the drive over!

We will also be having a raffle. All the vendors participating and H Gallery will be donating items to the raffle. Your first ticket is free and the you can purchase 1 for $3 or 4 for $10. All benefits go to the JDRF.

Back in the Saddle!

Well, in the last 7 weeks, I've traveled to Kansas City, Kansas (or Missouri), Fredricksburg, Virginia, outside of Steamboat, CO, Aruba (yes, the island 20 miles north of Venezuela) and we've moved out of our appt and into our house! WOW! Life has been fast, but I'm so ready to entrench myself in H Gallery once again! I think I've kicked this allergy thing since the wind has stopped blowing (well, for the most part) so life is good! I just got in 2 new backgrounds and 8 (yes, count them - 8!!!!!) new AMAZING chairs to use as props so I'm sooo pumped to try them all out! Stay tuned for details to come on H Gallery's GNO (girls night out) scheduled for June!!! It is going to be AWESOME this year! Enjoy the weather!

Big Blues

Here is a sweetie I shot this month in the studio! He is a little guy that is just very content to do his own thing. After I had gotten all of the shots that I truly wanted, he looked at me and told me the shoot was over.... well, in his own words, but a leader in the making, I'm sure! With big, blue eyes like that, I'm thinking he is going to do all right!

March Madness!

I'm so excited about 2 events we have going on in the studio during the Month of March. On Saturday, March 7th, we are having our first ever 'Senior Facebook Day'. This event is for any Amarillo area current high school Juniors or Seniors. You call in and book your free 15 min. session here in the studio and you'll receive one free digital image of yourself! You can use it on facebook, myspace, twitter, your cell phone - all things digital. We are wanting to do some really fun, crazy stuff with a LOT of COLOR! We're asking everyone to bring fun props - just stuff that defines YOU! Bring sports stuff, cheer leading stuff, your art, your ipod, your car (yes, we could get a shot out front!) - just whatever you're into. We will have a makeup artist here for the day and you can utilize her only if you'd like to (no charge). We plan to use these fun images to help launch the Senior portion of our website! Obviously, the sessions are very limited so don't hesitate on reserving your time slot - 359-4504. An added bonus, if you book your Senior picture session with us the day of the event, you'll receive 1/2 off your sitting fee and 1/2 off your deposit - a sweet deal!
Our second happening in March is, YES, a 'Matilda Jane Trunk Show' on March 16th (Monday)! We've gotten such a great response from the last shows we've had that we just can't stop bringing them back! Plus, it sort of fills my urge to want to have my own clothing store (my husband says focus on one dream at a time!). Their children's clothes are SOOO CUTE and very unique. You just can't find these materials and cuts anywhere. They mainly have girl stuff, but usually have one or two things for boys as well as women. I've bought a couple of the outfits for me and LOVE them. So soft and nobody has my pants and I love that! There are a couple of images below from the MJ blog that shows some of the new line that we'll have here at the studio. The show is real informal - just come and go and you don't have to dress up to stop in! Feel free to bring your kids as well in case anybody wants to try something on. See you in March!

Sweet child...

I did this shoot right before Christmas and this sweet little one (Kennedy - LOVE that name!) was only a couple of days old. You TOTALLY forget just how small and precious babies are. I had baby fever pretty bad when I left their house!! Well, at least until I went home and tripped on a dinosaur and stepped on the remains of a star wars lego ship! ;-) Everyone enjoy the weekend!

Gone digital...

I'm very excited to post about a new product offering H Gallery will have in 2009! We will add websites to our menu of services. Thats right! We will build you a website and post images from your session for all of your friends and family to see! The content is in your hands. Check out our first site to go live ---> http://hillaryandjohnny.hgallery.wedding-page.com/ This is an engagement site for a future bride, but we have templates for everything including babies, children/family, seniors, you name it! Once you purchase a site, it will stay live for one full year. Any images from any sessions within your year time frame can be used on the site. So if you come into the studio in the spring for a family shoot and then in the fall for Christmas card images, your site can be refreshed with the Christmas images as well!

I think photographers really struggle with offering digital products, but it seems EVERYTHING in our lives is online now and that is what people want. Hey, that is what I want..... so why not!

Shooting in the cold!!!

I did a shoot at Thompson Park on Saturday. The ice storm hadn't rolled in just yet, but it was very chilly! It warmed up towards the end, but we were all glad to jump in our vehicles and crank the heat! This little girl is only 10 yrs old and just gorgeous!
